A&P Interior: Redefining Retro Elegance
Located on 28is Street in Vrilissia, Athens, the A&P Interior project redefines Retro Elegance within its 135-square-meter. It is a private residence that gracefully weaves together retro aesthetics, classical elegance, and modern refinement. This unique interior design concept reimagines nostalgic references through a contemporary lens, creating a home that feels both timeless and refreshingly current.
The spatial layout is organized around an open-plan living, kitchen, and dining area, designed to promote natural flow and encourage social connection. The interiors exude warmth and character, enhanced by a carefully curated blend of materials, tones, and textures.
What distinguishes this home is its distinct mix-and-match approach, giving Retro Elegance a new dimension. Vintage elements, such as rounded silhouettes, mid-century textures, and soft patterns, are thoughtfully combined with clean, modern lines and refined finishes. The result is a layered interior that feels curated yet lived-in, elegant yet emotionally accessible.
The residence includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms, each space offering its own dialogue between eras. In the bedrooms, soothing tones, soft lighting, and classical forms offer a sense of retreat, while modern touches ensure everyday comfort. The bathrooms adhere to the same philosophy, offering an inviting and refined space that strikes a balance between function and aesthetic charm, making Retro Elegance a statement of design and art in space.
Throughout the home, attention to materials and contrast plays a vital role. Polished surfaces meet tactile finishes, and classical detailing is subtly reinterpreted through a contemporary framework.
The A&P Interior reflects Danai Dios Architecture’s ongoing exploration of how personal history, design memory, and contemporary living can coexist in harmony. It is a home that honors the past without being confined by it, a space that feels entirely present, yet filled with echoes of the past—Retro Elegance at its finest moments.
